The physicians and staff of Retina Associates are dedicated to diagnosing and treating common and rare retinal conditions. Our decades of clinical experience, commitment to research, passion for technological innovation, and unyielding compassion for the visually impaired make us the premier New Orleans institution for retinal eye care.

The retina is an essential part of the human eye. Just like the film in a camera, the retina processes light to form an image that the brain can see. Hidden on the inner back surface of the eye, the retina cannot be seen without special techniques. It is a fragile, paper-thin structure composed of tiny blood vessels and brain-like nerve tissue. Great skill and significant effort is required in order to heal retina and restore its visual function.
